​Santanu Basu, an industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, is the Head for Mortgages at Aditya Birla Finance Ltd. He has been with the company for more than 8 years and is managing portfolios such as Mortgage finance encompassing LAP (loans against property), LRD (Lease Rental Discounting) and Commercial property Purchase finance in both SME as well as Institutional Segments, apart from Construction Finance.

Before joining ABFL, he was with Standard Chartered Bank where in 9+ years he grew through the ranks to Channel Head – Alternate Business (Mortgages) and handled various responsibilities such as Regional Head (Mortgages) & Zonal Head (Mortgages). Prior to Standard Chartered Bank, he has had stints with ICICI HFC & Eureka Forbes Ltd.

Santanu holds a Masters of Business Administration (Finance and Marketing) from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and is a Bachelor of Commerce from MS University.
